Course Overview
The aim for the course is provide solid foundation on Power
BI concepts and how to use and start building stunning visualisations. During
the course sample datasets will be used from a combination of multiple data
sources to show the capabilities of Power BI.
The session will start with the introduction of Power BI and
its components followed by a walkthrough of Power BI Desktop interface. It will
be followed by showing the ability to connect to multiple data sources on-premises,
cloud and flat files and import data.
The next part of the session will deal with cleansing the data
and transforming them followed by creating a model and relationships. Concepts
of DAX and M Query will be introduced during this part.
After that we move on to creating stunning visualisations
over the datasets in the form of reports and dashboards. Initially we will
focus on the out-of-the-box visuals and then how to import Custom Visuals into
Power BI Desktop.
The final session will focus on how to collaborate and share
the dashboard and reports through multiple collaboration components within the
Microsoft Stack.

No prior knowledge of Power BI is required. This course will step you through the basics and provide the skills to build reports and dashboards using Power BI
